Hi, I’m Anna Kounadi, the artist behind Anniko Arts. Originally from Greece and now based in the Netherlands, I’m a self-taught illustrator inspired by nature, cinema, anime, video games, travel, and the stories that stay with me.

Art has been part of my life since childhood, beginning with sketches and gradually growing into a lifelong passion for illustration. Without formal art training, I’ve learned through curiosity, observation, experimentation, and countless hours of practice.

For several years, my professional life was focused on the corporate world. While I enjoyed the experience and everything it taught me, art was always something I kept coming back to. Today, I’m making more room for that creative side of myself and building Anniko Arts into a space where I can share my illustrations and turn the things that inspire me into art.

I find inspiration in many places from the quiet details of everyday life and the beauty of nature to the imaginative worlds of anime and video games. My travels also play a big part in my creative journey, giving me new places, cultures, colors, stories, and little moments to remember and bring back into my work.

I’m also a collector of comics, manga, and graphic novels, and I’m endlessly inspired by the artists, characters, worlds, and storytelling found within them. You’ll often find pieces of these influences woven into my illustrations, alongside my love for animals, cinema, cozy moments, and nostalgic details.

Anniko Arts is a collection of things I love, observe, remember, and imagine translated into illustrations.
